Building the Signal Network

We're building a new kind of quantitative finance platform — one where the best quants in the world contribute signals, and the network amplifies them into something no individual could build alone.

The Problem

Quantitative finance has a talent distribution problem:

  • Top hedge funds hoard the best quants, paying millions in compensation
  • Small funds can't afford dedicated quant teams but need systematic signals
  • Independent quants have alpha but lack the infrastructure to monetize it

The Solution

SignalNet is a decentralized platform where:

  1. Quants submit stock predictions using our encrypted feature datasets
  2. An aggregation engine combines diverse signals into a meta-signal that outperforms any individual
  3. Funds subscribe to the aggregated signal at capacity-controlled tiers
  4. Contributors earn rewards proportional to their signal's accuracy and uniqueness

Why Aggregation Works

The math is simple but powerful. With 50 modestly skilled, diverse contributors:

  • Individual avg IC: ~0.02
  • Ensemble IC: ~0.035+
  • Improvement: 75%

The key insight: value scales with diversity of contributors, not just the number. 10 quants using genuinely different approaches are worth more than 100 using the same momentum factor.

What's Next

We're launching our first tournament round soon. Early contributors will receive token grants and priority access.
